Five Hystudian soldiers were killed today in Iraq. They were killed when a car bomb exploded in front of a small restaurant in Baghdad. They are only the most recent deaths in the embattled country.

The fighting in Najaf continues, despite Moktada al-Sadr's pledge to surrender the mosque, causing the wounding of two Hystudian Ishjana (marines). Hystudian casualties have amounted to 3 wounded soldiers.

In the Olympics, Hystudian Vjanyt Dajavytka took the silver in dressage. The Hystudian men's Olympic Archery team took the bronze, the first medal for Hystud in an archery event. The Hystudian's took gold for the third straight Olympics in Yngling class sailing.
